Ellen Georgene Griffin, 90, of Pattonville, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Paris Regional Health.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 5th at Long Cemetery with Rev. Bill Dickey officiating.
Mrs. Griffin, the daughter of Tillman Arthur Hopkins and Ferne Katherine Ammon Hopkins, was born Dec. 29, 1934, in Ft. Riley, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Trema Griffin, a daughter, Karen Griffin, two grandsons, Kevin Griffin and Jason Griffin, a daughter-in-law, Nancy Griffin, and a brother, Robert Hopkins.
Ellen and Trema made their home in Bakersfield, CA, where she worked for Kern County at several psychiatric hospitals. In 1972, when Trema retired, they moved to Pattonville, TX. Ellen was a member of the Eastern Star and First Baptist Church of Deport.
Survivors include four sons, Sam Griffin and wife Rita, Steven Griffin, Ron Griffin and wife Carole, and Greg Griffin and wife Gladys, 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
